MND / ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
It seems nobody can escape nomination for this viral internet 'craze'. However, there is a serious aspect underpinning all this 'fun'. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's Disease is a debilitating condition that has no cure, yet. It is also pertinent to note that the great guitarist, Jason Becker, has lived with this disease for over 25 years. Arguably, he was diagnosed before his peak but he has continued to be an inspirational man and his story is told in the excellent film 'Not Dead Yet'. A must-see for all guitar players.
