Originally from Devon in England, I started playing guitar as a teenager and have been seriously involved in music for over 18 years. With credits on over 20 recordings, I have gained a wealth of experience as a musician, songwriter, composer and producer.

In the UK, I was a co-founding member of Progressive Rock bands Scream in Blue and Mr. Do in the late 90s. During this time I also ran a private guitar practice and worked as a peripatetic guitar tutor in local schools.

Since moving to Ireland in 2001, I have played as a live sessioneer for Chuzzle as well as being a key member of Dublin-based Hard Rockers One More Outnumbered and The Filthy Bayonets.

I have forged a strong relationship with Bat Kinane (ex-Glyder) over these years and accompanied him on his very first solo gig at The Ballyknockan Inn in Wicklow. Additionally we co-wrote a track called 'No Turning Back' for his debut solo album and I performed with him at the resulting album launch. During the pre-production stage of Glyder's 'Backroads to Byzantium' album, the band had me prepare production notes to work with for the recording of the album.

Bat and I also wrote, recorded and produced a full album together in our respective studios under the moniker of Maggy Simpson in 2013.

Other production projects I have undertaken include song arrangement and production (as well as guitar and keyboard playing duties) for John Waldron and Sector 7G.

As a Solo Artist I have written, recorded and produced several albums and EPs both under my own name and using the pseudo-band name, Cellardoor.

Over 70 pieces of my music for commercial use in TV/Film/Web/Advertisment productions are placed with music libraries, internationally. This has led to a number of successful placements in Australia, Canada, UK, USA including credits on ESPN, ClickBank, KnuckleTV, Vertical Pole Challenge.

On the live performance front, I have been guesting with The Whole Hog Band, Black Pearl and Blackthorn as well as taking lead guitar duties with The Seattle Grunge Experience.
